As Moore’s law keep advance, modern CPU included more and more cores. Although every core has dedicated execution unit and L1/L2 cache, all the cores in the same CPU share many resource such as L3 cache, memory bandwidth, power. Running DPDK application on multi core CPU, DPDK application performance will be affect by the utilization of these shared resources. In this session we will share our study on how to partition the core power, L3 cache and memory bandwidth to archive stable high performance for DPDK application.
